Casulana singers performing

For your year-end giving, help Casulana take the next step: from volunteer excellence to professional brilliance

Casulana was founded in January 2020 with a vision: to create a women’s choir dedicated to music by women, about women, and celebrating the power of the female voice. Just weeks after our first concert, the performing arts world shut down. But our choir survived — and 20 months later, we rose again with our second performance.

Today, Casulana is a high-level ensemble of music educators and working artists who volunteer their time to create extraordinary music. But excellence alone cannot ensure our future. To grow into the professional choir our community deserves, we must build a strong foundation — artistically, administratively, and financially.

Your support helps us transform from a remarkable volunteer ensemble into a fully professional women’s choir — strong, sustainable, and built to last.

Donate today. Invest in the future of women’s choral music.

We are raising funds for four essential building blocks of our next chapter.

1. Pay Our Artistic Director

Our founding Artistic Director created Casulana to give women’s voices the spotlight they deserve.

Paying her — and future directors — is the first step toward becoming a sustainable, professional ensemble with strong succession planning.

Your gift supports:

  • Fair compensation for artistic leadership

  • Season planning and new productions

  • Commissioning new works by women

  • A strong artistic future for Casulana

2. Manage Organizational Risk

Sustainability means protection. We need insurance that safeguards our singers, audiences, and board members — and a reserve fund that ensures we can weather unforeseen disruptions.

Your gift helps us:

  • Secure D&O and general liability insurance

  • Protect audiences, guests, and artists at every concert

  • Build a 1–2 year reserve fund for long-term stability

3. Pay Guest Artists

Guest artists transform our concerts: instrumentalists, spoken-word artists, collaborative pianists, guest conductors. They broaden our repertoire, deepen audience engagement, and support future Artistic Director recruitment.

Your gift funds:

  • Instrumentalists

  • Collaborative pianists

  • Guest conductors

  • Creative partnerships that bring our performances to life

4. Hire Professional Technicians

To build a digital audience and broaden our reach, we need high-quality audio and video — not volunteer iPhone footage. Professional technicians help us livestream concerts, create archival recordings, and expand beyond the concert hall.

Your gift enables:

  • Professional videography and audio engineering

  • High-quality recordings for teachers, directors, and choirs

  • A rich digital archive and future online performances
